Artist's statement
The relationship between a daughter and her parents can be like a shifting tide gradually adapting & changing. These landscapes are creative interpretations that metaphorically explore my relationship with my parents. Our relationship, at the time of making the project took a new turn. I felt like I was no longer solely a daughter that always needed to be protected. My parents had given me the means to be free, and to live my life under my own rules. Our roles evolved so that this was where we began to understand each other as individuals, each with their own hopes and dreams.
